A Supportive Cooking & Eating Experience
Recovery Practice Live is a community-based, hands-on cooking and eating session. It combines mindfulness, nutrition education, and gentle body-based support. The goal is to help participants feel safer, more curious, and more at ease around food.
What Happens in a Session
Start with a short grounding mindfulness practice
Learn about a featured ingredient (its background, uses, and simple prep ideas)
Get practical tips for meal planning, food safety, and storage
Do a brief regulation practice before cooking
Cook a recipe together in a supportive group setting
Participate in a guided mindful eating experience focused on curiosity and the senses
Close with gentle movement for relaxation and integration
Who Leads the Session
Facilitated by members of the Project HEAL Meal Support Facilitator team in collaboration with Clinician’s Incubator and Nutrition Hive.
